Good win by the Tigers. There is some hope for the defense going into next year. The offense? Still don't have a QB, a QB coach or a HC that has a clue about offense. Will ride Fournette to another 9 win season and 4th place SEC West finish.
Great win. Nice way to end the year. LF7 so close to the 2,000 mark, only 47 yards shy. If only that damn McNeese game hadn't been cancelled. And we would have been looking at a 10 win season.
I thought Fournette was our offensive identity....he rushed for 212 and 4 TDs tonight. No improvement in QB play? He threw for 59 percent and 250 yards. Improvement in play calling? We threw 22 times and rushed 40, ending the game with 7 straight runs, so the balance was there. We threw screens, we threw medium range, we threw deep. We continued to throw after an interception which has been unheard of this year. We attempted a halfback pass and perfectly executed a reverse for an 80 yard TD. I know its Texas Tech....doesn't matter. You have to play the team that's in front of you, that's who it was tonight. Now....are we going to keep seeing this next September? The answer to that question comes in 9 months.
Where was TTs defense ranked playing in the pitiful Big 12? Don't just look at the stats, look at the play and playcalling. If you do you will see absolutely NOTHING to be excited about.
