If Bo can’t, he needs to go.

your reading comprehension is failing.... the offense wasn’t blamed for moo u or mizzou but stevie wonder can see there were issues with the offensive game plan for those games.... as I said earlier, I believe brady was far more oc than not in 2019, and the game plan for moo u and mizzou seemed to be proving that 2019 wasn’t a fluke, while going 9-39 on 3rd down.... by any measure, 0-10 on 3rd down is inexcusable. converting those 3rd downs would have helped tremendously with a defense that couldn’t find their collective asses with both hands.

we all knew there would be struggles given the turn over, but players not knowing assignment football is alarming.... the regression in 18 and 7 is hard to watch. if it’s not regression, then it’s coaching and that’s really alarming.... we didnt see so many drops last year... I guess the commitment to 10K wasn’t there or the receivers coach said never mind?

the good news is that there are weapons everywhere: Marshall may give LSU back to back belitnikof award winners, mb has bounced back from a game he’d like to have back and has played at a high level, finley was amazing Sat nite. Ricks is continuing the legacy of dbu. Gilbert needs the ball more as he is a matchup nightmare.... but it gets harder here on out, so it comes back to coaching....

the LSU standard doesn’t just apply to players....

I don't have whipping boys like some here. O, E, CEH and Cregg were all at one point last year the whipping boy of a number of people here last. I waited to see and guess what all those above had great years as coaches and players. I will wait on Pelini to see if he can improve the D. The players from what I read love the guy. Tzanghi is right the RPO can make DC's look bad at times. My bet is on O. O hired Pelini for a reason. The coaches O has kept and hired have been spot on. This weekend will be interesting to see if Pelini and the other defensive assistants (they have a role in improving this defense too) will improve further from the improvements I saw last weekend.

If the defense had done their job there would have been no need to have to score when they already had 41 points. It was the defense's fault.

I don’t totally disagree, but to this point Pelini has struggled. Prior to the SC game, E refused to run the ball, Faulk insisted on getting Curry equal PT, OL looked a mess, third downs and red zone sucked.

It might get better with time, but observing and commenting on what we see is why we are here and not unwarranted.

Recall the days when our D was expected to hold opposing offense scoreless so Mile's 1970's Offense could grind out a win with a TD and a FG? Then blamed for allowing more than 2 TDs. Well now we have the inverse. I think its more realistic to expect the offense to be a lilttle more efficient on 3rd downs than the Defense to be 1000% better.

Lest we forget a decent amt of the scores on Offense came fron D TO recovery or ST play.

Lest we also forget how many points last years D gave up until second half of season.

Agree with you on running the ball. Not running the ball was one of my gripes. Glad O took Faulks advice and it worked this weekend. We won't have prayer of beating Bama if we have no running game. Don't give up on Bo yet wait and see. People were down on Cregg but he turned it around in a big way maybe Bo will do the same.
