Just throwing a shout out to my home town. I don't see you playing penn st., but if you do, it will be interesting.
as long as Texas wins, we're getting either Penn St or Iowa. we're virtually a lock for Capital One. only way Sugar doesn't take loser of SEC CG is if the game is a 75 point blow out.
If that's a prediction, I hope your pulling for us. A lot of back room mischief goes on in these bowl games. That's as much of the tradition as the pageantry. Iowa has owned Penn St. the last few years, and they travel well. Bowls usually get who they want, if it's close.
Iowa is top ten in BCS, ahead of Penn State. Iowa is expected to get BCS bowl bid. If they don't, then they get the Capitol One nod instead of Penn St.
True. And we totally "out-fanned" South Carolina last year.... add that to the 55,000 we had show up for the 2002 season Orange Bowl... I'd say the Hawkeyes are at least in the top 5 nationally for fan travel. The best, though, was when we took our pitiful 6-6 Hawkeye team to the Alamo in 2006 to play 9-3 Texas and matched them eyeball for eyeball in San Antonio. (lost in the final seconds)... the hawkeyes show up!!
Penn St. vs Boise St. - Fiesta Florida vs Cincy - Sugar Iowa vs LSU - Capital one "The Bowl" - Bama vs Texas
