I've watched or listened to every single game this year and I've been saying this all season long- This is the most balanced LSU baseball team I've ever seen. If we had the old bats it would definitely be geauxrilla ball.
Great job by the Tigers! Let's keep it going. Pretty good article on the LSU SR. http://www.teamspeedkills.com/baseb...ball-tournament-lsu-11-oklahoma-1-final-score Good short clip at the end of this one. Looked like Eades was settling down nicely until the rain delay. i wish he could get past those shaky innings that he seems to have just about every start. I would never second guess the coaches, they know way more than me, but i wouldn't mind seeing Glenn get the 2nd start.
This team can bunt. LSU has traditionally been an awkward bunting team but you have to be able play small ball these days.
Bertman's teams could never bunt, but I loved the big bats. However, we paid for that a few times over the years with teams that could "manufacture runs."
We lived and died by the long ball and we lived way more than we died. So the formula worked to unprecedented success the likes we have never seen at the collegiate baseball level (ignore USC's run during the late 60s/early 70s, that certainly isn't legit with the lack of competition).
I've been debating that one myself. I'm not sure which one I would rather face. Probably North Carolina. It's presently looking like they will need a rubber match tomorrow. SC 5, NC 0 bottom of the 3rd inning.
