Gardner-Webb beat Kentucky, Belmont beat Cincy, Mercer beat So Cal, Tarheels squeak out a 4 point win against Davidson...It's going to be a long season for a lot of teams.

maybe, but im pretty sure that i'll enjoy this season more than the last.

if tasmin can continue to rebound like he did last night, thats a good start.

besides lack of muscle down low, the biggest hurdle will be the team learning not just how to play with the two new starters, but how to play with two new starters that are THE go-to-guys.

Another problem is going to be on the defensive side. McNeese had a couple big guys that LSU had difficulty blocking at times. It's going to really hurt the team when they go up against a really good big guy.

psh... what do you know? you weren't even at the game. :yelwink2:

now on a serious note, now that we've established that we sat within 5 feet from one another, yeah, this team has to find an offensive identity... real fast.

There is way too much, or rather I should say... way too little flow. No one moves or cuts, etc... there is just so much indecisiveness.

And also, 3-18 from 3 is an obvious problem, too.

And I said it last night and will say it again: This is frustrating as hell for Brady, because this really is a good shooting team in practice... He just needs the new guys like Randolph and Thornton to fight the nerves off a bit.

On defense, I know they are outmatched around the goal, but I think the problem lies in the guard play.

How many times last night did McNeese's point guard get by Thornton or Spencer and force help from the big-man, causing a quick pass for a dunk...

Or how many times did they run a high pick and roll and the big man was late to help, causing the PG to shoot and promptly bury a 3?

it's all correctable stuff. It's just a matter of actually correcting it. From game 1 to game 2, they certainly didn't do it.

Now from game 2 to game 20, it may be a different story.
