You can make some shit up, can't you. The apathy demonstrated in this very forum about last year's bowl game against TTU is enough evidence for a blind man. Do you think any of these players would be skipping games (quitting on their teams) if they were in the playoffs?
Teams have always been disappointed when their season doesn't end up like they thought it would. The fact that Miles wasn't able to manage that is one of the reasons the fan base turned on him. The fact that players are sitting out has to do with $. Fournette's been hurt all year. This would have happened in today's climate with or without the playoff. Personally, it's kind of hard to fault them when coaches do it all the time.
If Leonard was 100% or close to it he would be playing. Right now you are seeing a delicate balance to avoid red flags for his draft stock as well and I get the feel he is a little more worse off at this time than they are saying (but nothing crushing to his future long term health). He knows he made a bad decision coming in for the UF game and paid the price physically. He has to get to 100% health before the combine and is on track to do so.
Hopeful? Sure. Optimistic? You bet. Blind in faith to a disease that appears to have already resurfaced in a brief stay in Tuscaloosa? I was surprised. Faith is meant to be questioned. I would be skeptical. No coach nor man is perfect.
I have read numerous Bama sites, including yours, and I've read Bama fans who also believe it happened..
