Well, W. Illinois did hold Melvin Gordon to only 38 yards on 17 carries for an average of 2.2 ypc Scariest part of that, is 21 of Gordon's yards came on one run. Meaning other than that scamper they managed to hold him to 17 yards on 16 carries.
The whisky game is over and we won. I don't care if Wisconsin wins at all this season, half of our team got their first playing time in that game. Our team is young, how they improve week to week is more important, and right now they're passing the eye test.
Very true, I am sure a lot of Wisconsin players were not 100% last week, probably not 100% this week either LOL.
Agreed, the last 6 quarters LSU has looked pretty damn good and definitely showing improvement each snap. I like the message Coach Cam is pushing to the offense "Start Fast, Finish Fast"
I disagree, I don't think Jarrett Lee tore anything up. He was efficient in 2011 until Mississippi State. LSU's D and Special Teams was making it very easy for the offense to score with short fields, and even scoring themselves.
The coaches aren't going to be focused on MSU yet, they've seen what ULM is capable of along with the upsets and close games around the country. They know the best way for us to get ready for SEC play is to stay focused on the task at hand & not on what's ahead.
