I'm looking forward to this one. We seem to do well when we have some motivation and what more do you need than the #1 team in the country coming in? I'll be there...look for me. :bball:

    GEAUX Tigers!!! :geauxtige

Give 'em hell. Can't make it all the way to BR, and sucks that it's not on national TV, but will be there in spirit.

Obviously, this will be a very tough match up and well, everything would point to LSU losing. But, PMAC needs to be rocking, and well, if BR were to ever support hoops, this is the game. What you can say about this year, win or lose, like Trent or not, is that this team has been competitive. Justin Hamilton and Hickey have been difference makers on this team. Better play from our wings, and this team would probably have 3 or 4 more Ws. And, by and large, we've been competitive with a lot good teams. Remember Miss St won a preseason tourney knocking off the likes of Arizona and we nearly beat them at their house. Very close with UVA, which almost knocked off Duke. So, here's UK. Any good team can have an off night, and most good teams can play inspired for a great game. If we play more like we played against Marquette, and perhaps a little bit better, who knows?

I'm sure Gathers will be in the building, and I hope the fans show fire and class. Play hard D, may the Tigers' shots fall, and believe... The PMAC has shown some magic in the past.

Early on, every offensive possession needs to go through Hamilton. We need to get Davis in foul trouble.

We just need to be patient on offense and make Kentucky play defense for longer than 10 seconds. It seems like every time we get up by a few baskets we shoot ourselves in the foot by not being patient on offense. That said, I really like the direction our team and program are headed. I think Trent is starting to prove some of his critics wrong. Just wait until next season when these guys are a little more experienced and we add a few more talents to the program!

Disappointing indeed. But, this is where sometimes the game gets away from you. The tigers looked good at a point in the first half cut it to 1, then, the Tigers let a superior team pull away. It was disappointing to watch the beginning of the 2nd half. But, you could see that it was a combination of UK talented kids and our kids making botched plays. Frankly, I don't blame necessarily the coaching. Trent went zone, mixed it up, and he was into the game. You have Malcolm White fouling flagrantly and that came at such a bad time. Justin, who's been our star, going up weak to the goal. You have (and can't do anything about height), Hickey and Stringer in the backcourt against a 6'4" 6'7" line up who shoots 40+% from 3 and can shoot over you. This was a game where LSU had to keep the score close and pray UK was off. They got hot and ran away with it. A little tough that it had to end with a 20 point loss. So, they have to pick themselves off the mat and get back to playing confidently and their game. We have some winnable games in the back half of the season, and keep it in perspective we were last in the SEC last year, and well, we have a chance to finish in that middle tier. JOB back looked more assertive and was a reason the Tigers kept it close in the first half. I still think the Hickey, Hamilton, O'Bryant piece is an upper end of the SEC caliber improvement. Turner is in a sophomore slump and well, the 2 guard position is sort of a mystery.

Malik Morgan would have helped us out there. A SG who's 6'3" and who can score would help. Gathers in a 4 spot would help. And, in the end, there's still something called talent. It seems as though LSU is making little steps forward... the key is that enough for restless fans.
