I know that it's some unwritten rule to never bet on 'your' team, but it's served me well for the most part. I don't bet on them every game. I just sort of go by feel or instinct. I guess I should be more pissed off at the special teams, but as Brett said, there was not enough evidence on replay to overturn the call on the field.
D was better than terrific. A couple blown coverages, but all of Iowa's run yards came when the D was gassed at the end. Hopefully we hang on to some of the underclassmen eyeing the draft.
NEWS. RT @valleyshook: In postgame radio interview Les Miles says that was the last game for ODB and Jarvis Landry. 4:04pm - 1 Jan 14 Not unexpected but still damn.
This game proves we can still dig deep and win those close tough games, even without our starting stud QB, our best DL player. It's when we start dropping those kinds of games regularly that we should start to worry. With the class coming in, defense won't be a worry again... and our offense should get better with Harris and Jennings battling it out for the starter. With Mett this game would've been 38-0 at the half.
Overall good season with a couple bad games. The record reflects the huge losses on D. Offensive line played great today both in the run game and pass protection. If we keep 4 or 5 they should be solid next year. Jennings is not ready for big time football. He better improve greatly in the off season. Miles is still clueless when it comes to clock management. How the fk does someone that has been a head coach so long not know you couldn't run the clock out taking a knee? I don't know if there is another human on the planet that would struggle so much with clock management.
