that was pretty sweet! schimpf's homer was pretty sweet too to dead center. the new box isn't what i expected. don't get me wrong, it's not bad at all. just not as nice as the parks at arkansas or south carolina. to be completely fair, i haven't been to either, but judging by TV alone i figured LSU's was about third best. seeing alex box in person kind of confirmed that. it looks better from the outside than it does on the inside... but anyway, it's the fans and the team that make LSU baseball. not the park.
can tell you've never been to either, because I've been to Arkansas and LSU's new park far > Arkansas's new park. Can't speak for South Carolina.
maybe so. i haven't been to arkansas's. but the new alex box, while NICE, it just seems.... i don't know, something isn't right about it. i guess it'll have to grow on me. :redface: i think it may be that it looks a little bit like rosenblatt on the inside, and i always thought that was an ugly baseball stadium. plus the new amenities for the TEAMS AND PLAYERS are probably tops in the nation and THAT is what matters.
I get what you're saying. It's a beautiful facility, but it just hasn't acquired an "atmosphere" and "personality" yet. That has to come with time.
