Nah, I didn't. I thought and still do that they can beat anyone in the SEC on any given day, but not 4 days in a row. But either way, what is the team supposed to do? Prepare under the assumption that "oh, we can't do this." They have to still believe they can do it. That's where YOU are the one delusional. I know your attitude is "oh, LSU will always suck in basketball, so it's okay." And that's fine to think that. But the school CAN'T operate under that assumption. They have to keep trying to build, because it can be done. (Florida, USC, Texas, etc...). If people just were always content with keeping things exactly the way they are, then LSU football would still suck after their losing 90s.
I may get slammed for this (and that's oK ) but I don't think we're that far off from being a really good team. Get healthy and the right coach, good solid recruiting class, and we're all right.
nah, you won't be slammed. next year, we're winning the SEC West, easily, no matter who the coach is. Even if Brady were here, it'd be the same.
Anthony Grant isn't in the big dance either (what a savior, huh?), so if that is the direction they want to go in, they can get that done real quickly. If they would want someone in the dance, obviously they would wait. If Grant is the guy they want, we should know soon, though, because he has no VCU obligations until next season.
It's relative. I think we may get to where Daddy Dale had us but don't look for any NCs. Our best teams (the FF ones) got outclassed in the semis every time out. It'llalways be that way...2 or 3 notches below the #1 seeds.
That's a stretch. I think it depends on Randolph a little. Going off today's game though, if Temple can get back to where he has been (playing smart), and if Farrer can continue to get more aggressive and improve on defense, then yes this team can be good next year. Additionally, I think it will be without Butch, for attendance reasons. The Butch supporters will go to games no matter who is the coach. Anti-Butch people might continue their absence, assuming they were also anti-Brady.
