Now surely CBS picks up LSU and Georgia. Question is, will they please please please let this game play at 7 PM CST just like they are doing with Florida and LSU?
They may try to hold on to that for LSU-Bama Saban comes back to Baton Rouge for a night game in Tiger Stadium....
I might need to look it up again but I am pretty sure CBS decided to only broadcast one night game this year unlike the previous year where they had a doubleheader every week.
I remember an article saying that CBS reserved the right to do a second doubleheader if they wanted. The have only had one doubleheader in their history with the SEC as far as I know, and that was the LSU-Florida game last year.
You might be right on not having multiple doubleheaders last year, I will see what I can find tomorrow. However, this is from the new deal that says it has been relatively unchanged from previous seasons. They do have 2 doubles but only one game a year falls into the primetime slot. The other is on Thanksgiving day with coverage beginning at 11am. Also there have been other SEC doubleheaders in CBS history. http://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/article/59762
FWIW, the leaked CBS schedule that posted before the season had the Bama and UGA games starting at 2:30 and no other primetime games besides the UF game scheduled during primetime. http://www.southernsaturday.com/2008/08/cbs-leaks-future-tv-games.html
