I like this story... I think we come out on fire, with a chip on our shoulder after all the negative press this week. It's a matter of pride now, and the Tigers will rise to the occasion.

Worse thing that can happen for the Tigers is Brantley not playing and Burton taking over that offense.

Disagree. He can run around on us all day, but if we can deny him the edge and play tight in the running lanes, and don't give up any long runs, at some point, the young freshman will have to put the ball in the air, and when that happens, you really don't know what your gonna get. He could go out there, bobble a bunch of snaps and throw four picks and they get routed for all you know. I've seen this kid play, and he looks more like Pat White than Tim Tebow. A great player, a great athlete, and he'll win some games for them. But he just doesn't have that "thing" that made Tebow what he was. He can't do all the things Tebow could.

And Tebow never had to take every snap at QB his freshman year. If Burton is thrust into that situation, he will have some screw-ups. He will make freshman mistakes.

Brantley, of course, would also be a trade-off in many ways. Meyer's trying to force a square peg into a round hole with this kid.

Both could beat us, but both will also present weaknesses for our D to exploit.

We're playing with an injured head coach.
