Defenses dominate the game. Florida gets some big plays for scores early but cannot establish a running game. LSU maintains long ball-control drives limiting Florida's time of possession. LSU pulls ahead in the 2nd half and runs time-eating drives that keep Superman and the Florida offense on the sidelines. LSU 24 Florida 20
IMO, this game comes down to our defense's ability to communicate - no more blown coverages & trouble getting the play call in. After just having a bye week, I like our chances of getting this corrected. My main source of confidence for this game is based on the fact that Miles has only lost one game during his tenure here when he has more than 1 week to prepare - and that was to Tennessee during the hurricanes of '05. I don't have a score, but I say LSU wins by 7.
One of the executives of my company is a Gator Alumn, he came to me yesterday and said how most Gator fans are really scared of Charles Scott and the offensive line.Although they wont admit the fear they have. He says he doesnt feel good about the game from that aspect. He wasnt that high on Tebow either.
I don't find that Les Miles teams play with that attitude of "it's not that important." In fact, I would say that our team feels this game is REALLY important--and it is--for our goal of repeating as national champs.
I think this ones gonna be too close to call guys. Although I'd love to believe our Tigers will put up big points I just don't see it happening. I'd be more willing to bet its gonna look more like last years game. Course, we won that one. If ya listen to the talkin heads, the Tigers might not even as well as show up cause theres no way they beat Fla...Hmmmm, Les might have something to say about that one... Tigers...24 Gators..21 :tigereye:
Their anemic offense and team oriented troubles aside, that hasn't affected their fans so Lee's performance in Jordan-Hare isn't exactly a nothing accomplishment.... Has Lee's numbers, and his performance in the 2nd half of that Auburn game, in his first SEC road venue (it's not like he went to MSU, Kentucky or Ole Miss for his first road visit either), followed by his performance in his first start given you ANY reason he's still "unproven"???? The Swamp, Jordan-Hare, Bryant-Denny, Sanford Stadium....their all the same atmosphere so your point about "yeah but he's never played in The Swamp" is moot.
