You know, I jumped on that bandwagon initially, too, but his success, or lack thereof, at Vandy doesn't really equate to that he wouldn't be successful here. To be fair, after 3-4 years of one program, he had several months to adjust to a new school, new coaches, new teammates, a new offense, new receivers, etc, etc. To LaSalle's point, if we had Rivers, or Rettig, as a change of pace, and who are likely more suited to run the style of offense CLM prefers, we may not be as bad at this point. Clearly, Harris is the most talented, and our future, but having R or R would give a chance to be overall a better offense. The point is, Rivers is probably a better QB than he's demonstrated there so far, just may need some adjustment time.
Les hinted this week that there may be changes on defense. The middle is soft and we lost our best nickleback for the season. I bet we don't see much nickel this week.
Won't need much nickel against the Gaytors. Lots of ground pounding from both sides against 8 and 9 in the box
So, what we all need to do is just know that whomever plays better in the spring games will NOT be our starter.
Either his momma lets him get on the internet to keep the little fella out of her hair, or the facility allows him limited access during rec time.
