They played good last night but I said before the season started all I wanted to see was consistent improvement each week. To expect a massive overhaul in year one after the shit show BK inherited is a little delusional.
Man I think you’re judgment is clouded due to you not liking the BK hire from the get go. We are a couple plays away from being 6-1. I’ll take 5-2 at this point this early on giving what this team is working with. Don’t understand how you can expect more with all new coaches and players (especially QB) who haven’t had any game time experience with each other.
CBK is a decent coach, he is no Saban, but I expect him to achieve at least as good as Les Miles had achieved in his tenure at LSU. Let’s be patient.
I think he’s better than Miles; might be better than Saban. Turns out sticking w JD wasn’t a bad call. Get the STs right and watch out. Hope House can get the D playing more dominant for a full game.
We are not a bad team, (except for our special teams), but we are far from great. What we are is an above average SEC team. So far we are proving that we are a notch above middle of the pack SEC teams such as Fla., Miss State and Aub. Lack of depth, experience, and inconsistent play separate us from Ga, Tenn. & Bama. If Daniels play against Fla. was not a fluke one of performance, we just might be capable of hang with the big boys.
We damn sure aren't good! I will concede to say "bad" is subjective. We have a young team and a new staff and the holes left by the last staff are glaring. The D has been sort of okay, I'm not at all a fan of out 3rd down calls and if I'm not mistaken we are going to lose the core of our LB's , not good. The good news is BK seems to be hot on the trail and if we can keep that solid we should be okay but it's going to take a bit. This team may not be "bad" but it's not very good. Beating teams that are worse than you is not the measuring stick you want to use to validate success!
I was expecting 7-8 wins; if BK can get to 8 wins in year 1 considering what we were last year in the bowl, I’d give that an exceptional grade. After theTennessee game I would have graded the season at C- or worse. I think I’m at a B after Florida. If nothing else, it’s been interesting. Definitely not all bad.
