I saw from the 1st possession last night that this is a new offense under Canada and expect great things from this unit. The offense will only get better and more fun to watch. I was bitching about the momentum killing penalties that seems to constantly plague the LSU offense no matter who the coach has been. While we may be able to get away with them and still survive against teams like BYU etc., self inflicted drive killers like early on last night will be hard to overcome against the SEC schedule. They were corrected to some degree in the 2nd half.
My youngest daughter told the little boys on the school bus that her grandparents had been killed when a Washing Machine exploded. We were new in town and got a dozen or so sympathy calls from school parents. I stopped answering the phone!
Just seemed like you were jumping a little early on the negative side. As I said in another post I was hoping Canada wouldn't get too fancy and cute take what the defense is giving you. To me he did exactly that and seems to understand our personnel. We can run the ball and shouldn't give up on that. Lets see what happens when we paly better SEC teams.
I just hate watching undisciplined football, and early penalties negated numerous points. But like I said, it's just the first game, a lot of new faces, and learning a new offense. Things will get better.
