butler is small. 6'7, 6'8, 6'3, 6'0, 6'3. no dejuan blair beef either. butler is young. butler shoots tons of 3s. 35% of their points (24th in ncaa). lsu gets 24% of pts from 3 for 268th. butler beat xavier by 9 at xavier. OUCH! howd they do that? butler plays man D. butler does not play uptempo sounds good but it also sounds like auburn without the experience. it seems like it all depends on Tas on O and probably if our slowish guards can handle butler's guards.
seems like howard 6'7 220 So and hayward 6'8 180 Fr are pretty good. both have high offensive efficiency ratings. hayward shoots threes well (might be a problem at 6'8) and howard gets to the line like crazy.
They better come out with everything they've got for this one, since a win here is likely as far as we're getting with the winner playing UNC on their home turf.
Butler has an up and coming coach in Brad Stevens who was 30-4 in his first season at Butler. This is his second season and he's only 31 yrs old. evidentally, he played at and graduated from De Pauw in 1999. Can anyone name Depauw's athletic nickname? (Tigers) That's a lot better than Oglethorpe University who plays in the same conference as De Pauw... They're the Stormy Petrels ... a dinky little shorebird that runs away from the waves as they wash up on the beach.
