Actually, I'm not insulted. Just trying to be the voice of reason. Thought I would give you a little insight into what I think it would take to go from a very good offense to great. G-Mac had a great game against Tennessee and importantly, just one sack. Made a genuine effort to get rid of the ball and finally, just throw it to Julio. Never a bad idea.
I completely agree that the sum total of athletes is in Bama's favor. But how can you say that SC can't touch the caliber of players Bama has, when on THAT given day (not on a regular basis) SC beat Bama in most aspects of the game? Yes your total athletes are superior than ours but you can't say that we (AU) nor SC can touch them when one of those two teams have already proved it to be possible.
I know that is what he means, and on paper Bama is better than any team in the country (IMO), but just because they have Ingram, Richardson, Julio, Dareus....... does not make them untouchable. South Carolina proved that. But I am not taking anything away from their talent base because it surpasses Auburn's and LSU's, but it does not make them untouchable.
you won't hear any argument from me on that one. you can't tell Bama fans that though, especially after their recruiting national championship rings just came in.
Well, if you can agree that the "sum total" of athletes is in Bama's favor, you have pretty much exhausted my point.
No. Agreeing that your players overall are better is not the same as saying that no team can touch them. That is like saying that since a team is favored by Vegas, the underdog can never win.
No, what your saying is, you're clairvoyant. Save the inferior complex for the end of the month. Here's a nice thought: The best TEAM, that day, will win.
