    Good article.

    One thing - Applewhite grew up a huge Bama fan and wanted to play there, but wasn't offered a scholarship. Not sure I would call that stealing.

    6 foot nothing and 100 and nothing. Think of him as Rudy but a little taller.

    I gotta admit he was better than anyone either LSU or Bama had at the time. Hindsight is 20-20.

    That tells me that Jimbo and Searels were not unhappy at LSU and shows the kind of integrity you would like to see from football coaches. Good for them and good for Miles.

    I agree that they were probably happy, but almost all coaches do this.

    A lot of times you see the coach trying to convince the recruit to go to his new job. I wouldn't say that nearly all coches do what JF and SS did, I wouldn't even say that most do that.

    You are correct. I guess it is not "most," but a lot. I am happy to see JF & SS were classy and honored their commitment to recruiting these kids as LSU football players.
