I know what Shane's talking about, but I'm not going to speak for him. @shane0911 care to weigh in? O has squandered an extraordinary amount of goodwill capital, I'll grant you that. But no one worth taking seriously is talking about firing a coach less than a year after one of the all-time great seasons.... And I don't give a diddly-squat if you think its irrelevant because it was last year. No one agrees with you.
Sadly, the local people that believe that, mwill also accept 8-5 seasons as the New LSU Standard for a "Successful season". Meanwhile Oregon goes on to the Playoffs & were supposed to be happy going to the Belk or Outhouse Bowl, the next few seasons.
You continue to ask that lame question of others, but refuse to reply when asked the same question to you. No big surprise.
We won't fire him. I never said we would. Were in for years of 8-5 seasons with O underachieving. I dont care who disagrees with me. O is beholden to whoever the university hires as OC & DC assistants. Maybe they find another Joe Brady/Aranda combo, but very doubtful.
And I thank Dave Aranda & Joe Brady everyday for that. So does Joe Burrow, as Brady turned him into a Heisman winner. My favorite season is either 2003 or 2007. Didnt need a "Superstar" to win either. Both were hard nosed & tough football teams.
