In the first overtime between Stanford and USC, Stanford had the ball first and scored to go up 7. When USC scored I told my buddies they should go for 2 to win. I thought it was their best chance to win the game. If LSU finds itself in the same situation, should the Tigers try to win it with a 2 pt conversion or kick the tieing extra point? I'm leaning toward playing it safe with the extra point because of the depth and conditioning of this Tiger team. What do you guys think.
I said the exact same thing about USC. Have the balls to end the game in the first OT with a 2 pt conversion. Your defense is gassed and won't stop this good Stanford offense. Kiffin is chicken shyt. You're on probation playing for nothing, go for it you idiot. I would agree with you if the same thing happens with LSU/Bama. We won't be gassed and we will trust our D to step up the next OT period.
With the way LSU plays defense, it's possible to force a turnover on any play. A turnover in OT ends the game. So just let your defense end the game.
Add to that, our red zone percentage on offense is better than Bama's. .. and we score TDs .. not FGs. I think LSU would definitely win that battle.
