I must be getting old. Does anyone else remember George Bevan blocking the extra point to win back in the '60s? Sullivan and Beasley played for a very good Auburn team.

Okay, you have to go sit in the corner with Red and Sabanfan.

Are you sure it wasn't Mike Anderson? Maybe Anderson made a key tackle on a goal line stand. Was that the game where Charley Mac used some trickery and scored on the first play of the game. Maybe a halfback pass?
I believe Sullivan and Beasley played 69,70, and 71. They were an awesome combination. I really enjoyed watching them kill Tennessee every year.
I guess we're both getting old.

I thought it was Bill Thompson, the third LB that blocked the extra point in the 21-20 win at Tiger Stadium in '69. I was at that game, sitting around midfield. But I thought on the Sun. night replay it was Thompson. Bevan and Anderson were the other 2 LB, both made all american, Bevan in 69, I thought Anderson was 70.

That was a great game, by the best LSU team between the 58 and 03 champions. They finished 9-1 (probably lost to Ole Miss, Manning?), were ranked #3, and apparently headed to Dallas to face #1 Texas in the Cotton Bowl. Notre Dame decided to change their policy and accept a bowl bid for the first time in history, and naturally, the Cotton Bowl invited them. Longhorns beat the #9 Irish 21-17. Louisiana fans always said they were afraid to play #3 LSU and tarnish their nat. championship. In 1963 LSU beat a #1 Longhorn team in the Cotton. Cotton Bowl Link

LSU was invited by the Peach Bowl, and declined to play in it and sat home instead of bowling. I heard the players voted not to play the bowl, doubt if that would happen today.

Anybody remember an Auburn player by the name of Ansel Rosegreen? I believe he played safety back about 3-5 years ago.

He goes to my gym and I talk to him often. Real cool guy. He believes that the Auburn QB is going to be really good, although he is inexperienced.

Is he Junior Rosegreen? That dude was a big hitter and a headhunting safety. He took out Reggie Brown a couple years ago in a sick hit.

yep, "Junior" Rosegreen was a stud safety on AU's '04 championship team. He's best known for the hit on the UGA receiver (Brown), but he also made a key INT in the SECC game against Tennessee that year
