Two things: I never, ever pick against LSU, and I never, ever predict scores. There are many questions tonight. Are we better, the same, or even worse than we showed against MSU? We haven't even seen MSU since they beat us; we don't know a ton about them, either. Is AU that great in just a year? Are we that much worse? I think they will gain plenty against our defense. The key will be not allowing them to score TD's, holding to more FG's whenever possible. On the flip side, we need precious few three and outs and to start fast offensively. Can a true freshman QB do that on the road against top competition? If Harris can, we may witness the birth of a legend. If Harris can't, Jennings may need to come in to save him.
We won't see the birth of a legend. That legend has already started with the last three minutes of the Moo U game and the last three quarters of the New Mexico State game. What I want to see is the maturation and growth of the legend. If Jennings has to come in there won't be any saving.
There are no absolutes. He may need bailing out. You have to manage the game as it plays out. . If Harris throws 4 picks in the first half he has to sit and regroup.
