I might remind you that Miles won a lot of freaking games and one NC running the football. Miles won 11 games a year until his final 2 years. Not suggesting we go back to Miles ball but this year we had better play Miles ball when we have the advantage like this weekend. Only a fool would not run the offense we ran against Ark. Even the two game announcers said the game plan was brilliant. Hey the guy who said that played college and pro ball. I will take his opinion over yours along with my common sense approach to football. You and fordouchenflush are two of the most unknowlegable football fans at TF especially offensive football. We would beaten Ark by 2 more scores had the refs not called that one stupid holding penalty and had Ricks not got ejected and Stingley not got hurt. Keep in mind we were playing without Stingley and Ricks a lot of the second half.

This is a very good point. Take what the defense gives you, it’s situational football.

Exactly. We have 3 good backs and they were playing without 5 of their starters on the DL so why try to win with a freshman QB? Well you don't do that but some here think we should pass every down you know like Bama, Clemson and Ohio State do. Oh wait they don't do that. Also I noticed that Ark took advantage of our weakness in the secondary which is as you say situational football and smart football.

I was ok with pounding the rock. I was very disappointed in our offensive line and have some big concerns about that position group moving forward. Particularly the center. He was getting his ass whipped.

Those trap plays were not working at all. Maybe it was the wet field? Arkansas looked slow at the LOS too.

Biggest concern is the future of that position group. Hopefully Thomas and Martinez will be ready next year. Deculus should stay and hopefully Ingram will stay. I don’t see any NFL ready lineman on our roster but Ingram would be the closest.

Don't know what game you watched but we beat them running the ball. TDP had over 100 yds, Emery 50 yds and TJ had a lot of time to throw.

If you don’t see the issues with our o-line and didn’t see Shanahan get his shit pushed in all game, it’s time for cataract surgery buddy.

Outside of 1 big run by TDP we carried the ball 48 times for 126 yards for a whopping 2.6 ypc and Arkansas entire defensive line was out with COVID. Check the stat line (not counting sacks or kneel downs, LSU had 11 carries for a loss or no gain) that’s over 20% of our run plays. And that doesn’t count the number of times we only gained 1 or 2 yards after being hit in the backfield.

There were more points to be had, lame ass play calling. Curry getting reps in the heat of battle is fuckin dumb. 7 punts. Against a team that barely fielded a defense. 12/23 on 3rd down.

Our defense looked improved but was still terrible - 443 yards.

We were down in the 4th quarter until 4:00 left in the game.

Glad to get the win, but this is still pathetic. O deserves a lot of criticism.

Why is Linehan on staff? Faulk not looking great. Our lines are weak, have been weak, and unsure they will be corrected with current recruiting class.
