Anyone watching? Been flipping back and forth between this and football. Kinsley (walk on) has four threes for the tigers and they lead by seven at the half. He hit one to end the half. He got his first start today.
Team looks a lot better today. Kinsley is playing the game of his life. Bo is sitting on the bench because of his ankle. Very little Garrett Green. I hope his back is not acting up.
I don't think you know enough about him to make that assessment. He has been playing hurt. Trent Johnson has always been high on him. I think we will have to wait and see on him.
Wow, I recorded the game so that I could watch the Iron Bowl. I flipped over once or twice but the last time I flipped over it sounded like Storm Warren ran out of gas. I think I might just skip watching this game?:dis: Is it worth watching at this point?
It was difficult to watch, especially since the Tigers were leading in the first half. They definitely ran out of gas in the second half, and overall, ASU has a little better depth and balance. Glasser, their guard, got hot and the Tigers really couldn't contain Boateng, a 6'10" transfer from Duke. It's very tough with Bo unable to play, Green getting limited minutes b/c of a sprained ankle (from last week), and ASU completely taking away Tas and Warren in the second half. LSU is definitely a team with gaps from a personnel standpoint and alot of inexperience. Bass isn't able to generate hardly an offense in a half court, Green and Harris again was pretty ineffective. The lack of depth isn't impossible to overcome, if they're healthy. But, with the limited bodies, it's harder and teams can exploit us defensively. Let's just hope that LSU can get healthy fast, and hopefully they've learned alot on this trip. Not all's lost for the season, but the Tigers have to stay healthy if they can. With the depleted roster, they can have very limited mistakes/injuries. Interestingly, we have to remember that in college basketball there is this fine line between talent, coaching and a team's psyche. UConn is getting handled pretty easily by Duke and that was one I didn't see coming after UConn laid the beat down on LSU last Wednesday. Sometimes confidence, subtle coaching and a team playing really hard and well makes a big difference. If LSU doesn't let UConn take an early lead or has the ability to stop ASU from making a run in the second half, the games this week are a lot closer. But, confidence, team chemistry and knowing the system Trent's trying to run are a delicate thing. Luckily for us, it's early in the season and there's a lot of ball to be played before SEC play. We just need to give this team some time, and hope that the younger players get this point quick.
