GDF, in a word, YES. It did get our juices flowing and we really did give Bama conniptions, especially in the first quarter. I think Bama thought we would fold like a cheap suit but if we had had a full roster Bama would have lost handily last night. It was actually great to watch because the rest of the season has been ho-hum.

Just like LSU, the Crimson Tide is not what it used to be.

We are all constantly recruiting/rebuilding. Some, more than others.
It is the very nature of CFB.

    Saban looks tired.

Yeah... Coach O ran off the field with a giant smile on his face like he was having the time of his life leaving Saban sulking and looking at the scoreboard to reassure himself like someone awakening from a nightmare that it was just a bad dream and not real...

Maybe there is something to the saying, "It's not win or lose that matters as much as how you play the game."

    Geaux Tigers...

Sure seemed like he was barely involved most of the night.

Yes, agreed. He's 70 years old and maybe he should think about retiring (I am being serious, BTW). I mean, what else is there for him to accomplish in college football? He's a living legend as a coach.

I agree that MJ is not the answer after watching him play about a dozen games. But I need to see way more of Nuss before I make any judgements about him.

Also got to keep in mind what offense is coming in — nobody in that qb room may actually be the future .

Making it that much important to keep Walker Howard's commitment. I think the chances of that are very good.

Max Johnson is a worse qb now than when he started season Poor coaching and lack of poise in pocket. You saw alabama qb able to get out of trouble sometimes. Anytime johnson was pressured he panicked and tried to throw off back foot.

I am not impressed with him or his coaching.
