LSU hasn't beaten Vandy in basketball since 2006

    Edit:

    LSU loses by 15

next up: Alabama at 6pm Saturday in the P MAC (LSU is 9-3 at home this season)

    couple thoughts:

    1) Vandy is going to have a whole new team next year. 5 of their Top 6 guys are seniors, and the other is a junior (and the junior, John Jenkins, might be going pro). Compare that to our Top 6 guys: 1 senior, 1 junior, 2 sophomores, 2 freshmen... that's like a JV team playing a Varsity team

    2) Vandy coach Kevin Stallings is doing great -- he's 131-59 overall in his last six seasons at Vandy (55-34 in the SEC), they've finished in the Top 25 in 3 of the last 4 seasons, they've gone to the NCAAT in 4 of the last 5 seasons, etc

however, Stallings is a lot like Trent Johnson. Both were successful coaches before they got hired to coach in the SEC, and both struggled when they got to the SEC

Stallings is now in his 13th year at Vandy, but he didn't have a season where he finished over .500 in the SEC until his 8th year at Vandy

compare how Stallings did in his first 4 years at Vandy to how Trent has done in his first 4 years at LSU:

Kevin Stallings: 21-43 in the SEC (13-35 in years 2 thru 4)
Trent Johnson: 21-36 in the SEC (8-33 in years 2 thru 4)

I mean maybe... just perhaps if we could buy a 3 point shout, but hey who cares. We were only 3 for 20.
