What a workout. Whew. When are those bats gonna heat up again?

Paul may have to go small ball to generate some offense. We have teh speed to make it work.

The gorilla has obviously left the building.

That Lott kid pitched a great game. Nice to see the fans give him a hand as he left. Too bad he had to lose.

Of course, it helped that our bats are frigid right now. Dayum.

Texas A&M (Top 10 in all the polls) lost at home tonight to the New Mexico Lobos (Mountain West).

Would rather not have a batting slump at all but I guess the slump early is better than a slump late. They gave the night off to Landry, Helenihi, and Gibbs but used them in the ninth. Maybe we should give Gibbs the night off more often.

Fullerton handed it to their asses as well.

although the offense is weak right now, our pitching will likely get even stronger throughout the season. with good pitching we don't need much offense. i think that our defense is still a little untested since our pitching isn't giving up too many hits. that's either good or bad. our bats will come around in time. i'm not too worried.

I follow this stuff as much as anyone, but early season college baseball is a lot like the start of the Boston Marathon. You can't read too much into who the early leaders are.

    Don't miss the big picture.

The batting will come and go, and we are on a down cycle. The bats will come alive soon enough.

Be thankful that the pitching is spot on and looks more than good enough to win another national championship.
