After losing to ULM yesterday, Arkansas beats them tonight, 10 to 9 in 10 innings Auburn beats South Alabama 12 to 7 Bama down 13-11 to Samford, batting in the top of the 9th South Carolina tied with The Citadel, 3 to 3 going to the 11th. Unable to cash in w/ the bases loaded and 1 out So it's a global SEC recession... -------------------------------- South Carolina lucky to hold the The Citadel to 2 in the top of the 11th. They loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the 11th, but again can't get anyone home. The Citadel wins 5-3. Bama tied it on errors by Samford, and held in the bottom of the 9th. Bama had their chances in the top of the 10th, but couldn't score. Samford gets a man on base and is able to get him home, Bama loses 13 to 14 in 10 innings.
Sounds like they had no urgency the entire game. I couldn't listen to the game, but I was following the stats. Only run came from an inning where they didn't even register a hit. :huh: I do agree that these midweek games just get more and more worthless. Pre-game PM was saying "no disrespect to our opponent," but basically we are going to bench our starters today. This was a weird game..
well just getting back from alex box. man, nicholls really pitched well! all eight pitchers really hit their stride and made the right pitches. can't be any "nicholls used their best pitcher" excuses. the boys from thibodaux just handed it to LSU. can't really say anything except that this is what you get when you bench your starters. it kind of tells the other team, "you suck." hopefully CPM learns quickly that you shouldn't use these midweek games to test different lineups. really there is nothing i can say. nicholls simply played stellar ball. a few really great defensive catches. timely hits. anyhow, those alex box suites are REALLY nice.
earlier in the year? i'm not sure i follow you, lol. i was actually surprised that they started off as great as they did. they had a few injuries and got into a funk, but this is probably the best team that they've had in a few years. probably the last 10 years. lots of juco players in the program with a good mix of younger guys. i like what coach chip is doing over there. other than that, i really couldn't care less about nicholls sports. although, i WILL be at the jacksonville state football game this fall. gotta give ryan perrilloux hell. :grin:
lol, it's all got me thinking that the SEC might not be as good as we all think. :shock: but that just goes to show you that i shouldn't think. :grin:
