Should 'Bama win, I wonder if it will mark the first time Saban says that LSU is Miles team now? Saban loved to take credit for Miles' successfull LSU teams, (and 3 loses in a season should still HARDLY equate to "unsuccessful") but should he win--especially in impressive fashion, he might be prepared to give Miles "credit".
In all fairness, Nick only took LSU credit in his first recruiting season at Bama and the blowback was unexpectedly big. Nick has been very careful to acknowledge Les since that time.
I seriously do not think that Saban takes any credit for LSU's success. If this is true, how about a link?
Ok. How is this relevant? You know Scott doesn't play on defense, right? If you concede the previous point about More-no's lackluster performance against Bammer, then you should have little trouble seeing why he didn't have his best game against UF. LSU was down 21 before they even knew the game started. That's the second time you've said this, but I'm still waiting for something to substantiate this claim. Did you even read anything that I wrote? IF Scott gets as many carries as you predicted, then your defense is in trouble because of the kind of back that he is. Your own coach even admits that your team has no depth, and nowhere has that been more evident than in the second half of your games this year. Scott is a powerful, downhill runner, who becomes more effective as the game progresses. I know that you don't realize this because, in another thread, you pointed out that Scott has good speed. And really, for a running back, his speed isn't that great. He is not a home run-type of back...that's Williams. Speaking of Kool-Aid, you've got some red crap on your upper lip... If I were you, I'd be more worried about Scott beating the hell out of your this, worn-out defense in the second half. Well that, and substantiating any of the claims that you've made.
Not so fast, my friend. They'd have to get by the hottest team in the country in UF, then most likely play Penn State or pass-happy Texas Tech. Frankly, I don't think they get by UF...
He said it following LSU's beat-down of the Irish in the Sugar Bowl. Like Red said, that was probably his only time when he made a comment about it....but it was enough in my mind.
The moral of my post Chaos... You should be more worried about LSU's D than Bama's. You keep talking about our 2nd half defense...Well, after your down quickly Saturday (as so many of our games have ended up), Scott wont get those carries because it will mirror the beating UF put on you in the first half...and you'll be playing catchup with Lee--and we all know that he's not capable of coming back from a hole. Pick 6 bro...
UF put the hurt on us mainly in the 2nd half. You're right, we did go down 20, but we were in the game in the 3rd quater still, much like the UGA game. Hell, we could've beat UGA, but not Florida. Bama doesn't have the offensive weapons UF does and if you really think y'all do, you're in for a shock. I expect y'all to see that in Atlanta. Florida is the team of the SEC this year, not Alabama.
I'm not saying I want it to happen. But if they get past us in our house in probably the most crazy environment ever to hit TS, it's just going to happen.
Well, UGA got past us in our house and then promptly got KILLED by UF.... I would want a rematch vs UGA because I think the outcome could realistically be better for us....but I really don't know if I could honestly say that if we played UF again, that the outcome wouldn't be the same. And that's not being negative....I'm just giving UF that much credit for how good they are this season.
