I think LSU has a very good chance of winning this game. Getting an early lead is the key. We need Parker to press and make a couple of mistakes, and then we can get into the young team's head a little bit. We also need good, not great, QB play. This is essential, because you will not beat Bama being one dimensional, they have much more talent than Tulane.

I expect to win, I always expect to win in Tiger Stadium!

The only team Bama has played that actually has a halfway decent running game is Georgia, and they only ran the ball a total of 16 times. Six of those rushes were Stafford, which means they probably weren't designed runs before the snap.

Getting down that quickly will stop a team from running the ball.

I agree that the players will be really charged up for this big game, and so will the fans. It will be a dogfight. I am sure they feel the need to prove themselves after the ugly losses to UGA and UF.

The key with defense is how well the defense adjusts to avoid being exploited. Keeping down the big plays by Bama will be key. They have got to do better tackling. If they can shut down or limit Bama's running game, then they will be very competitive.

I hope LSU has a breakout game. They are due.

I wouldn't say that the Bama players get cocky; I am sure they are playing with confidence. They may be psychologically disadvantaged in thinking LSU, though potentially dangerous, is a weaker team than the ones in the previous few years based on their big loses to UGA and UF; they may get a surprise if LSU plays with inspiration.

I think it will be a close one, with the outcome very much dependant on the intangibles.

    Michael Smith ARK- 987yds 5.3ypc
    Andre Anderson TUL- 864yds 5.0ypc
    James Davis CLEM- 478yds 5.1ypc
    CJ Spiller CLEM- 369yds 6.6ypc
    K. Moreno UGA- 990yds 6.0ypc
    Reggie Arnold ASU- 627yds 5.5ypc
    Derek Lawson ASU- 577yds 7.8ypc

All of these backs totaled 70 carries for 273yds at 3.9ypc against Bama.

You mention the UGA game....They were down 31 points right off the bat. Not going to come back from that running between the tackles. *For the record, Moreno had 9 carries for 34 yards* Same with Clemson, but their prior coaches little bubble screens weren't working either.

I think that Scott with get to 100 yards rushing, but it will be on 25+ carries.

That's the only way we win. We'll have to grind it out and shove it down your throat (no offense). But Scott has had only one game in which he carried more than 21 times, and that was against MSU.

I think that Crowton and Miles will get pass happy again, and throw the game away like they did with UGA. We would have won, had we run more. UGA had no answer for #32.

I am going to be the contrarian. With a game of this importance toward the end of the SEC schedule, I am predicting that our D steps up and this is an old school SEC score.

    LSU 15 Bummer 12

    OK, maybe not...

Actually, LSU 35 Bummer 31 sounds more accurate but with a game like this with Bummer under so much pressure, this might be a defensive struggle.

Considering what we have seen so far of this team this season, it is no surprise to see so many Tiger faithful predict a loss here. In a season that many predicted a 3 loss record that would fall right in line. I predicted a 10 - 2 season and I am sticking with it. It has been forever since we lost 2 games in TS in the same season and I don't think we start now. I am going to predict a Tiger ugly victory

    LSU - 23
    Bama - 21
