Upchurch ran for 86 yards and it's Tennessee we're talking about.

it is very interesting, that even when auburn is winning... all they can talk about is alabama.

I realize that you guys dont have an in-state rival to relate to like that...

In a down year, the rivalry becomes all that much bigger. It's one of those, well we did bad, but we still beat bama or vice-versa. Don't act like a good bit of bama fans haven't been guilty of that in the last 15 years.

edit: I read that wrong. But regardless, Bama fans are guilty of holding on to one thing...forever

    ANYWAY... back to this game...

I think that LSU matches up very well against BAMA and that this will be a very close game.

This will be the first team that BAMA has faced that can match the size and physical nature of our play.

As such... I think it will come down to the passing game on both sides.

"And believe me, to have been in the city of Tuscaloosa in October when you were young and full of Early Times and had a shining Alabama girl by your side--to have had all that and then to have seen those red shirts pour onto the field, and, then, coming behind them, with that inexorable big cat walk of his, the man himself, The Bear--that was very good indeed." - Howell Raines

We matched up with Georgia well too and we moved the ball, we just could seem to stop the big lay, especially on 3rd down. If we play offensively like we did against georgia minus the turnovers and defensively like we did against USC...i think it'll be a good game for LSU

    What would that be?

Union troops burning down our library? :eek:lefire:

    The surrender at Appomattox?

Our undefeated 1966 team being robbed of an unprecedented 3rd straight NC in the 60's? (freakin ND/Michigan state tie...)

Coach fran leaving us? (wow... what a blessing in disguise...)

The desecration of Coach Bryant's birthday by terrorists? (9/11) :911:

The combination of Washington's birthday and Lincoln's birthday into one crummy holiday?

The greeting card industry? (what a :cuss: scam...)

Soccer? (... fanatical plot against football...)

    people that say 'irregardless"?

    Title IX ?
