The friend with whom I'm going has been to every home game this season, and said in the past 6 weeks or so...it's unbelievable how electric it is at the games. He's asked me to go to a couple, but like I said, it's just not something I'm normally into. But since about halfway thru the Dallas series, I've been hoping he'd ask again...and he finally did.
I was at Game #2 in this series and the Bee Hive was rocking! When Manu whines in San Antonio everybody cheers for him. In New Orleans he gets mega boos and that makes him whine more.
It looks pretty rockin' on TNT in 48" Hi Def and surround sound, so I'm sure it's just fine in person, haha.
 Everybody that goes to UNO are LSU fans. And good deal Fishhead. That's going to be one good night of sports.
You should know better than that. Playoffs in LA don't come that often, so people are going to drink extra just in case.
25 wins in a row collectively...and the two longest current winning streaks in the country... This is a huge non-conference mid-week game! It will be interesting to see where LSU, UNO, and Tulane are placed in the Regionals and this game could impact that decision. If you're around New Orleans and not going to the Hornets game, come by Zephyr Field and pull for the Tigers! I think Wally will be giving the Tigers a little help tonight. :thumb:
Hornets game is over. Wonder if he's going to catch the end of the LSU\UNO game currently in the 12th inning. :hihi:
BINGO! My friend only lives about 5 minutes from Zephyr field, so we just stopped back in on the way to his house. I got to stay for the first 3 innings, and the last 1 1/2! It was a neat experience...and the fact that the baseball game went so long only made it better. Another friend was texting me while I was at the Hornets game, and when we were leaving, he texted me saying it was still 6-6 in the 12th. Right away, I told my friend we oughtta go back, and he agreed...we listened on WWL radio on the way there, and sure enough...we made it. The Hornets experience was pretty intense...loud. Whoever was talking about Manu getting booed was right...but last night anyway, it applied to Parker, Horry, Duncan, and Oberto as well. But it was definitely a different level of booing when Manu got the ball. Dude can ball, but he's nearly as bad as Vlade Divac when it comes to flopping...Parker, too. Coach Sean Payton threw out the first pitch at the LSU game, and Drew Brees signed a football, and threw it from his courtside seats up to the upper level of the hive...a woman caught it. (sign her up!) Our seats at the baseball game were nice...3 rows behind the Tigers dugout. I really didn't want to leave to go to the Hornets game, but like I said...the fact that we were able to return for the ending really topped it off nicely, and the fact that both teams WON! Somebody said something about banning me if they lost! Not on my watch, people!:thumb:
