Not likely, but anything can happen this season. The percentages listed are my own.

LSU, UGA, and the Vols all win out and LSU wins SECCG. 60% chance (A lot depends on UT toppling UK)

Oregon loses at home to Oregon St (instate rival) or on the road at AZ or UCLA (coaches fighting for jobs, but this is probably the least likely event in this scenario) 30% chance

USC takes down the Sun Devils. 65%

Bedlam breaks out at Norman and Okie St. beats the Sooners or OU is upset at a night game in Lubbock. 40%

Mizzou takes down Kansas and loses to OU in the B12 CG 70%

Michigan beats the Buckeyes in the Big House. 60%

West Virginia loses to either #22 Cincinnatti (at Cincy) or to #24 UCONN 40%

Tigers and Dawgs in the DOME !!!!

No, I have not been drinking!

It wasnt too far fetched for that to have happened last last year. Had Ohio State lost another late season game and still beaten Michigan, it would have been #1 Florida and #2 LSU.

Problem is that if Oregon, OU and Kansas lose I doubt they drop below UGA. Unless they all get absolutely destroyed by an inferior team. I think it would be hilarious if we played them though.

That would be a true National Championship...two SEC teams.

would be really cool. we talked about this exact scenario earlier this season with us and Florida.

however, Not even a 1/2% chance we see a georgia team with 3 losses in the dome. just not possible.

for that to happen, #1 UGA would have to be undefeated going into the SECCG and their only loss would be to #2 LSU. (assuming the scenario mentioned in first post) And then it still would be iffy. Late losses are hard to get over

Well UGA has only 2 losses right now and in the original scenario they would not be in the SECCG because Tenn would get in. They basically are exactly where we were last year in that they have 2 losses but are still in position for a BCS bowl despite not being in the SECCG.

I think it will be more likely for Tennessee to win out and go to the SEC CG.
UGA may then qualify for an at large BCS bowl bid.

UGA could very well compete for a MNC in 2008 as Caleb King, AJ Green and Israel Troupe will enter into the mix and are all true playmakers. Not to mention that almost the entire UGA defense will return. Moreno is now on track to pass McFadden's freshman year yardage total.

I know a VOL fan who keeps telling me that Tennessee is on a roll and will beat LSU in the SEC CG. All I can say to that is...:geaux:

UGA reminds me too of LSU last year. After watching them the last few weeks, I would say that they are honestly the best in the SEC. At the very least they are playing the best ball in the SEC.

When it comes to LSU, I still fear no one. It comes down to what has been true the last few years, the only team who can beat LSU! is  !

Now that a scenario I hadn't thought of. What the heck would they do if 2 SEC schools were ranked 1-2? That would mean the NCG would be the SECCG.
So what would they do, make them play the game twice? Or, bypass the game in Atl? Creates all kind of crazy stuff. However, now that I think about it, one would have to knock the other off in the SECCG...hence, problem solved for the NC guys...Is a fascinating thing to ponder though.

UGA does not control their own destiny for the SECCG... Tennessee does. UGA is in the same boat as LSU last year (exactly)
