A lot of doom and gloom on this thread. Florida is no easy win, especially at home. There is a reason LSU was an underdog.
LSU hung in and had a chance to take the lead late. Agreed it wasn't a great performance, but not the first there was a clunker coming off a big win.
They are still evolving and improving. Don't give up on them. Long way to go!

Good perspective. BS gets a lot of hype right now on ESPN, but to me, his TOs and lack of a shooting game actually cost us that game. Obviously, he is just a FR, is young, and will only get better, but the 7 TOs were as big as the 28 pt's. Having said that, we're not even in the game without his 17 boards, and 28 pt's, but he also cost us with the TOs. Hopefully, he recognizes this, learns, grows, moves on, and starts developing a perimeter game, at least from 10-15 out.

Which is a little disappointing, I was hoping we got over some early season funk vs being a mediocre team with underperforming talent. I think yesterday you could say overrated even though Simmons had a good game stats wise. I guess the supporting cast ain't much to write home about. At a big time school I'm sure Simmons would shine.

As far as the cJJ hire, I thought his hire and the cTJ hire before were pretty solid. Just not working out. It probably is a matter of time, except that Miles has already shucked some mountain oysters off Aleva. Might be a matter of time on that front too, though I'd be surprised if Aleva's replacement would be better - politics.

It looked like our team had their feet plastered to the court the way UF was crashing the boards. The fat lady didn't sing yet, but she isn't looking too good, well below Caldwell level.

I think the doom and gloom is warranted though. Did I think LSU would go undefeated? No, but not getting a quality non conference win, really means they can't drop too many from here on out if they want to make the tourney. Margin of error is very slim at this point.

They have played 3 conference games, and have won two. Vandy and UK were the preseason picks to finish 1-2 in conference, so I'd call both of those wins quality.

16 games left. 12-4 finish and they are in.

Non conference wins man. RPI means a lot when selecting teams for the tournament and WF and Houston aren't great teams and LSU still lost. Like I said the margin of error is microscopic at this point.
