I don't think Iowa will be there and even if they do, i am telling you, you cannot keep LSU out of the title game if their only loss came to the number 1 team in the nation, and it was avenged by beating that number 1 team.
This is my contention as well. 1. Undefeated SEC Champ 2. Undefeated Texas 3. Undefeated Iowa 4. 1 Loss SEC Champ 5. Undefeated Cincy 6. Undefeated TCU 7. Undefeated Boise State 8. 1 Loss PAC 10 Champ But at the same time, if LSU wins convincingly over Bama and Florida (I know that's a long shot), then I would place LSU ahead of an undefeated Iowa in that scenario. Our only loss would be to a team that's still in the top 5 and we beat convincingly in the SEC CG.
1 loss LSU vs 0 loss Iowa would come down to style points. humans would make up LSU's BCS ranking deficit caused by the computers if LSU looks good against bama or uf.
exactly, while we didn't have any style points early in the season, beating Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, then Florida neutral avenging a 10 point loss to me would go alot further than, come from behind wins in the 4th quarter against crappy opponents, if that trend for Iowa continues. I also think that Ohio State has screwed the Big 10 over, don't think that won't be in voters minds.
NO WAY if LSU runs the table, they won't be in the BCSNC game. If we beat Alabama, we'll be at least at #4. Then we beat #1 Florida in the SECC game, we'll be in the #1 position. There's NO DOUBT.
This article painfully reminded me how Bama ruined what would have been the SEC's 3rd straight Sugar Bowl victory when they got slapped around and lost to Utah last year.
