Because we had a solid home and home, and now we lose that home game, likely to be replaced with Mid Northern Alaska State Poly-Technical Institute. It sucks. They'll do the same thing with the scheduled home and home with Oklahoma too.

Exactly... Last year the ticket was impossible to get. Same with the cotton bowl....
Within one block of my house there are three of us....

LSU has a huge base here in Dfw

Not to mention the economic impact on Baton Rouge... each game weekend is a huge revenue source for local area businesses.

Wish I would see more than the occasional LSU fan in the bay area.

Dissagree...Fans demand wins and championships. This is good for the football program. BTW there are more fans who watch on TVthan go to the game. I have held season tickets (old south end zone upper deck sect 423 ro 19 seats 6 & 7) for 30 years or more and have no problem with this.

I'll second that! I have seen automobile evidence of two other LSU fans in this entire Valley of the Sun! TWO! Last Saturday night at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, a cajun [flown-in] fresh seafood bistro in the heart of Phoenix, I was there with an SRO crowd. Purple & Gold? One! Me! Shoot--can't even talk CFB, beer & trash with any other LSU crazies.

This is why I won't get too excited about getting tickets for the TCU game. I couldn't even begin to sniff tickets to either the Cotton Bowl or the Oregon game. (By the way, A & M fans who had tickets to the Cotton Bowl against us were getting calls, asking if they wanted to purchase tickets to this year's Bama/Michigan game.)

When I heard that Bama and Michigan weren't getting the sell-out, I knew Jerry Jones would come calling LSU again.

The bottom line is that these kick-off games in huge venues are great for exposure--more than we'd get with TCU @ Tiger Stadium or in Ft. Worth.

All that being said, I hope I can get tickets for the game. I know my daughter would love, love, love to go--with it being in the Metroplex and all.

LSU needs to play here in DFW. Tons of talent here. It's exposure, plus we are playing a Texas team which means more exposure. This is a great thing.
