The definition of a potent offense is one that generates a minimum of a single point more than the opposing team by the time the game clock expires.
Why does anyone waste their time replying to or even reading what "helsfury" (can't even spell his on name correctly) says? I've been on this board for 8 years and he's one of the biggest & most miserable buffoons to ever post here.
I actually found this thread very interesting and very entertaining. Well we will find out tomorrow which LSU team will show up. One that has an offensive line or one that doesn't. Every LSU game I have seen this year has been a win, a win is a win but I am disappointed in the O-Line play. We have a head coach who was an Offensive Lineman, there is no excuse for the poor play of our offensive line especially talking of the passing game. I don't think this team is anywhere as good as they could or should be at this point. Hopefully we will see some improvement for the meat of the schedule. I am realistic for what I have seen. I picked LSU to go undefeated this year after that terrible bowl game, after we played the way we did all last year and lost that game thought the team would be playing with a chip on their shoulder. I think we could lose 2 or 3 games if the team continues to play this way but I am optimistic and hoping that the team plays better. That means less dropped balls, better QB play and better play calls. NOT one playaction pass for the Auburn Game and no miss-direction running plays like Auburn did to us. Edit: Meant to say that better O-Line play could lead to better QB play, hopefully!
You can hide some O-line problems with clever play calling though. But even if that doesn't manifest itself, an excited LSU team is a handful, anywhere. ESPN just showed the clip where the Tiger holder tossed the ball over his shoulder, it bounces into the hands of the kicker and the rest is Tiger-gator folklore. Who, but Les pulls that off? Les knows his team hasn't responded well and I expect him to push a few buttons tomorrow. I predict a close one. Oh, SC gets the best of the bulldogs.
