I don't know what to think of South Carolina, yet. After all, they are still South Carolina, and that puts them behind the 8-ball more often than not.
I think LSU will beat SC quite handily. I don't know. I mean, remember they struggled—and I mean struggled—with Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt's been tough this year, though. Statistically they are evenly matched with Missouri. (They play them this week) South Carolina.... is South Carolina. I don't think they'll be a problem for LSU. Also it's a night game in your stadium. I thought that was supposed to be super scary or something! If LSU can make it out of the swamp this week, then they won't have a problem with SC. @Texas A&M will be a tough one, I think, though. Then you have us at home, at night..
South Carolina is perrinially in an identity crisis. They'll play some "lowly" team like Vandy close, then look like world-beaters for a while, then play a another lowly like Kentucky close. Year-in and year-out, they are undoubtedly the most confusing team in the conference. We'll know a lot more about them after this weekend.
The offense could have been better without injuries, and better coaching from the o-line and offensive coordinator. I think Mett should probably be taking more snaps out of the shotgun to give him more time, and they should play around with formations, in order to compensate for pass rushing. Mett proved he can take a hit and not get rattled. He can deliver the football quickly, and stand with confidence in the pocket. His troubles are when he is flushed, or does not have time to set before he throws. We knew that throwing on the run was never his forte'. Let's hope adjustments can be made quickly and smoothly.
As for Florida this week, I remember the game in 2007. It was a really good game. I think it'll be close but LSU will win.
