ASU fan's scouting report. "Started off the season really well, although that came against an incredibly weak schedule. Struggled in PAC play because our pitching depth isn't great. Our bats are good. Our team hits homers and lots of them. Tork and Bishop have over 20 each. Alec Marsh is our Ace and when he's on he's really good. Our saturday starter is Boyd Vander Kooi, he's pitched really well the last month which is encouraging. Our bullpen is pretty weak. If we get knocked out, it'll be because of the arms, not the bats. Our coach is Tracy Smith, he's awful and i'd like to see him fired."
Southern Miss fan's scouting report. "This will probably be our reason, too (arms, not bats). Although every once in a while our bats are just dead. The worst is when we can't string hits together and end up stranding double digits. Our star player, Matt Wallner, is in the #4 spot. Can't count how many times he led off an inning with a HR or a double. Wasted extra scoring opportunities because the top 3 are inconsistent." A different Southern Miss fan's scouting report. "USM is good and bad. Hell of a lot of errors, but on the flipside, they can hit well and when pitching is on, pitching is fucking on. Two shutouts to end the conference tourney against teams that beat then regular season, because our pitchers went the distance. True Freshman Gabe Shepard went 7 and a third with 12 strikeouts on Saturday which is JUST what USM needed in a pitcher. Like the other guy said, they are heating up at just the right time. Also. Only nonconference team to beat Mississippi State this year."
really good stuff @watson1880,.. Oregon is about ready to fire our coach,.. I'm living vicariously through you guys, Tigerfans are passionate about baseball, I respect that,.. Go Tigers
"Used". In before @tirk. I could apply your logic and go back even further. Do you believe in the Constitution or do you suppose that it needs to be re-written? If there is a family gathering does everyone respect the elders at the table or do you allow the younger generation to set all the rules? Lots of opportunities to twist that one way or the other. But we both know that if LSU had set those records that far back, you would not only own but demand respect for it.
Feels like LSU football; we know we were in the catbird’s seat about a decade ago, but until we do it again it’s kinda hollow in current conversation.
