Calco is not too far off in his rant. We have to schedule at least one legit OOC every year. The closest thing we have is Troy. The same people who are gonna knock USC's supposed soft schedule in the PAC-10 are going to just ignore this embarrassment of an OOC schedule we have.
I agree, but it's not the end of the world... at all... I guarantee LSU will play more Top 25 teams than USC this year. I guarantee they play more Top 25 teams than Ohio State.
P Probably true, but it is still disappointing. Oh well, though. On the other hand, Brady has been fired. I'm happy to see him go, especially on relatively good terms. There were a few great years, but it just wasn't working out. Now it is time to find out if Baton Rouge can support basketball again. I think we can.
Count me in as one of the people disappointed in the game. I'm not a season ticket holder anymore, so I can't complain, but if I were a season-ticket holder I would be seriously disappointed in the schedule. LSU should have considered signing a road game. How many other teams are playing eight home games this season? My guess is ZERO.
That seems to be the attitude of our AD. We win championships, so it's ok to raise tix prices and schedule weak teams ... and the fans will bend over and enjoy it. You can get away with it when times are good. I just wish they stop this charade about no team wanting to play in Tiger Stadium. That is a joke.
I think we are okay. With the rise of teams in our division/conference coupled with our success and talent we are at a new level of respect. Look at Georgia's schedule, it's insane. I have to think Coach Miles is relishing the idea of playing Appy State after what happen to Michigan last year.
So if LSU wins the SEC again and makes it to the BCS CG again with only one loss this time, will you still think it's a DISGRACE and look for someone to BLAME? Why don't we see if we can win the SEC, which has zero to do with OOC games. That won't be disgraceful, will it? Lighten up!
So what is the reason? I doubt it's because we couldn't find a better team to play us at home. Perhaps the coaches/AD looked at the VT tape and how it impacted the season, looked at the tough SEC road we have, looked at our "rebuilding" year, looked at Ohio State and USC's schedule, and made a decision for next year. What else could it be?
Honestly, do you really think Texas Tech said no to playing us b/c they are scared to play in Tiger Stadium? We are reluctant to give up home games unless we get a better than normal home/home contract, like the Tulane deal. Doesn't sound like we offered TT a typical home/home contract.
