No offense to you but if you run around and hit every opponents board and say the same thing sooner or later you are going to hit a winner. Just because you win the lottery once it doesn't increase your chances to win again. Ask Clara...
Thanks for the help post-Katrina. You seem like a nice fella. I'll feel a little bad about making you sad come August. But only a little. See, it's only trash talk if you don't back it up. Appalachian won't be able to sneak up on the Tigers any more than an elephant walking on bubble wrap could.....but ya'll have to have your dreams, too, so go ahead and feel like King Kong till August. The Tigers are tough when the summers are hot....and this summer, it will be VERY HOT.... ldskule:
1) we're not michigan 2) we're not talking trash...YOU told us to get OUR story straight. i suggest you do the same..."I can't wait to hear the deafening silence of 92000 shocked fans at the end of the game when App State (ONCE AGAIN) shocks the world". with that said. Welcome to the board. I remember i was working the sidelines for the app state game in 2005 and 2 things i'll remember most. a) Your coach has a kid follow him around with a can of diet coke and a cup of ice. b) We passed for it on 3rd and long in the 4th when we were up 24-0 with Flynn in, not Jamarcus and your coach went crazy, yelling to the other side of the field saying "we're done with you sir!" and saying he'll never play us again. and thanks for your volunteering efforts
yes, because if we aren't good enough to beat TTech, we don't deserve to be in the championship game. Same as usc not being able to beat Stanford.
ok, i fixed it. i didn't mean any offense, i just heard someone say that once and liked it as a short version. i don't get the appy st 80's reference but i'm sure it makes sense to you and that's what really matters.
ok i thought i fixed it but apparently just on the first post. i don't know how to change a thread title. the beauty of the situation is, once the trojan horse worked once, no one fell for it again. but thanks for your rebuilding efforts and please hang around.
It's fine to trash talk as long as you come back and admit defeat when the game is over. I don't mean none of that "LSU was supposed to win" BS. Just that the better team won. I'm looking forward to it. The stable should have a field day.
Well I was led here to read what you LSU fans had to say about the game. I don't really know where to jump in but the middle of the thread kind of dissolved into scheduling minutia so I will pick here. first of all...LSU is be congratulated on their N.C.--It was a very impressive win over tosu. You guys had a pretty good year with a couple of surprising losses...but those things happen (ask USC about Stanford or UM about ASU!!) Obviously we are very proud of our squad this past year too...The win in Ann Arbor was quite a feat. I know that UM was not the team that all thought they were but they ended up with a pretty good year and whipped UF at the end. I WILL say I am glad we played them when we did. No, we don't think we will sneak up on anyone for sometime....especially as long as we keep winning OUR N.C.'s! I expect we will come down there and play hard, play fair, try to keep it respectable, take our $, and return to Boone in how ever many pieces you leave us in. Having said all of that, you guys should realize that there is alot of good football played in places NOT in Baton Rouge. Some remarks here make it sound as if NO ONE is good enough or worthy of your schedule. Heck it would be boring if you guys just played 6 home and 6 away against SoCal!!! The game in 05 was closer than you guys thought it would be and I suspect this one will be too. I eagerly await the trip and hope good times are had by all. I am sure the the Southern Hospitality we try to display in Boone will be in abundance in BR as well. GO APPS!!
I expect Appalachian St to give us another good, hard fought game. If we show up rusty I think you guys could beat us because you know how to run that offense.
