I've got two points I'd like to address regarding scheduling. First, I think it's sort of sad that the networks get so deeply involved in scheduling. It's one thing for them to simply decide which games they want to broadcast. That sort of makes sense - choosing the "important" games week to week and such. However, the networks have become pimps. And you know what that makes the schools. I think it's shameful the way the schedules are jumbled and dates and opponents are changed to suit the networks' needs. I know it's all about the $$.....but it does sort of seem like prostitution. Next point is that strength of schedule is bound to vary from year to year as teams' fortunes rise and fall. I don't think it matters much in most years how "strong" your schedule is. What matters is that the Tigers deal with each team as they should. As long as they wipe up the field with the weaker teams as they should, it's not a big deal. What hurts is when a team like Appy State gets to thinking they are "King Kong" and comes in and makes the Tigers look foolish, or unprepared, overconfident or generally gives them more trouble than they should. Just like they did to Michigan last year. In years when a team is expected to make a legit run for the NC, as the Tigers were forecast to do last year, SOS may really make a difference. But no matter who you play, you have to win each game to impress the pollsters and you should win convincingly over a significantly inferior opponent. ldskule:
First, its App State or ASU, not Appy State. The 80's called. They want the name "Appy State" back. Secondly, we're not Div II. Get your story straight. So last year I went to a Michigan blog and posted this and got killed on it so to keep the tradition going, I have to write this again... "I can't wait to hear the deafening silence of 92000 shocked fans at the end of the game when App State (ONCE AGAIN) shocks the world".
"And I cant wait to see your fanbase try to celebrate but they have done so much acid they cant move." Trying to tell us to leave a certain decade? :hihi:
good luck with all that... LSU is no Woffard or Georgia Southern (two teams to beat ASU this year), but we're pretty good, too.
YGBSM. You beat Michigan. Have some self esteem. :rolleye33: And, the whole "XXXX called. They want their YYYYY back" schtik is so outdated that the irony of your sarcasm works against you. :rolleye33: Finally, you've had your moment in the sun. Standby for a 5 TD loss (assuming we play the bench). You might be able to sneak up on someone in the Pac-10 in about 5 years....maybe....
Hmmm. Fresh meat. Tigers like to be fed. Is it me, or does this sound like ClaraDog...Clara...Is that you?
We have this little gadget we like to call a defense. Maybe you've heard of it, but I know you didn't see any at the Big House last year.
the beauty of the situation is that these are indeed the exact comments michigan fans made exactly one year ago so please continue to talk your trash I'm looking forward to heading back that way. Last time I was there, I along with 125 others rebuilt lots of several homes in Gulfport for two weeks.:usaflagwa
