don't flatter yourself you have been one of the most vocal saying you wouldn't kick RP off the team, while other were questioning his "leadership" and "decision making". you even tried to bring up an arrest that Kevin Faulk had at one time as a way to convince us (yourself) that this behavior was "o.k." now, he's left this team in a bind (like many here predicted), and suddenly you're praising Miles for giving him the boot, after saying that doing so would make him a Nazi? Nice to know that an alleged tiger fan equates our Coach to Hitler.
Looks like this thread touched a nerve with you -- and yes, I choose to pull this thread back up for the specific purpose of touching a nerve with you... yes I know, I'm evil... but it's all in good fun, especially since it worked But yes, I'm glad that you USC hippies are so into peace and love and all that jazz. But the question is, can your team bring the "hate" on the football field when it comes to destroying opponents like y'all used to do back in the Norm Chow days? It'll be fun to watch the USC vs. Ohio State game in the beginning of next season to see who the big boy is between the two.
Actually Berkley is the flower power hippie liberal school. USC is more in line with a normal balanced educational institution. Well, really, now-a-days most colleges have a majority liberal faculty, so its really a non-factor. Besides, is it just me or is Louisiana known for its Democrat more-so than its Republican politics?
So your point is that because I was in favor of Mile's decisions to keep RP on the team, that now I can't be in favor of Mile's decision to kick him off the team? But yes, I honestly didn't think RP would get kicked off the team, that everything would be all right. I was wrong. Sorry. Coach gave RP three suspensions (fake id, bar incident, missing classes/meetings) during his three years here and then the Kona Grill incident happened, which led to the LSU Student Paper calling for Miles to immediately kick RP off the team. Miles still refused to do so, still stuck up for RP. Now this happens -- a drug-related incident. RP is gone, I was wrong. Oh well. I'm still happy that I'm not a USC fan.
you defended Perrilloux that he was not a thug, and was a leader. And said that if Miles kicked him off the team he'd be "pretty freaking Nazi". that's different than supporting a Coaches decision. I personally disagreed with keeping him on the team after his last incident, however I trust Les to make the right call.
I'm not sure if RP is thug or not, or a leader or not, but I do know that he isn't an LSU QB... so it really doesn't matter to me anymore.
Leaders don't somehow manage to find themselves in bad situations (multiple times), leaders don't get their names in the paper for the wrong reasons (multiple times), leaders don't skip/miss/show-up late to classes and or team meetings setting a bad example for the team he supposedly leads. thugs on the other hand, fit the above description quite nicely. If he were a leader, we wouldn't be having this discussion. But he's obviously a thug, so, well you know what happened.
They don't play in the SEC. But your statement is a bit of a reach. Virginia Ohio State (Top 10) Oregon State (top 25) Oregon (Top 25) Arizona State (Top 20) Washington State Arizona Washington California Stanford Notre Dame UCLA Again - not SEC, but not Big East, either.
