Not that LSU could ever turn into a hippie west coast daisy factory, but IF we win the NC and start to have huge recruiting classes, and continue to dominate the college football world, could we turn into what we hate the most, USC. NO!!!!!!!!!! I hate to say it but we could be hated from coast to coast(not like we arent already) , we could be the Yankees of college football. As much as I hate the prospect of more trolls, i'll be the first one to say that I welcome it. If that is what it takes, bring it on baby. Now, I am in no way saying we would be an overrated, glamour loving, preppy rich kid university like USC. But we would and I think WILL be the envy and source of hatred of fans everywhere. Like they say with great power comes great responsibility, and unlike our light in the loafer friends to the west I think we could back up our worthiness of a #1 ranking by actually playing quality teams inside of the SEC . For anyone to compare LSU to USC really freaks me out. One reason is that USC had a fake dynasty while LSU will prove we have a real one this year. Its called 2003 and ALL agreed before hand to play by the rules before some decided to change the rules of the game after it had begun. The other reason is that I don't believe we have any famous alumni killers running around in a disguise.

I for sure don't want to be like USC, because that means that every year we would be preseason number one, only to lose a couple of games to teams barely good enough for 5A HS football. It would be the equivalent of losing to ULM and UAB every year.
Doesn't USC have a crapload of championships?(not great on history..) I wouldn't start talking about these two schools on that level right now. We have the talent to make a run like they did a few years back( i think thats what u were saying) but we don't have a coach like Pete Carrol. Maybe that will change this offseason though...:milesmic:

... then why did you title your thread that way? We laughed at USC for claiming they had a dynasty. They won once. Now you want to bestow the dynasty tag on LSU for winning four years ago and hopefully this year, too? Seems pretty laughable as well. I'd say that this thread is a perfect example of 'getting ahead of ourselves.' You must have been both drinking and smoking some of that good stuff with those daisy socal hippies!
