    Fill in the blanks:

LSU fans are the best in college football when ____________ and they are the worst in college football when _______________.

I was tempted to say we're the best when things are going well and we're the worst when they're not, but I think I'll go with:

We're the best when, like Saturday evening/night Tiger Stadium is so loud you walk out with your ears ringing. I had a Bama fan sitting next to me who said he's been going to games in every SEC stadium for 25 years (including ours) and he's never heard one as as loud as it was for the entire 2nd half. That's what makes our fans great.

I think we're at our worst when we let our negative emotions get the best of us in the face adversity like we have this season and the Chicken Littles among us think that the program is falling apart, when it's not. Then, there are those fans who are extremely derogatory with the're 'Lee Sucks' threads and the like. Maybe he does, but he's not a professional athlete. He's just a 19yr college kid doing the best he can. It would serve us all well to remember that. It's not like he WANTS to play like he has been.

Let me preface this by saying this is an opinion board and everyone is entitled to theirs. I will also say that no one on the team is without criticism. But there's a way to criticize your team without ripping them to shreds. If an outsider were to read some of these threads, they would think you didn't hated the team you follow. You can't expect to win SEC and National Championships every year. No one does it. No one. There's also a reason why only 1 team has won the BCS championship twice. It's hard to do; especially when you have so many experienced leaders from the previous year's team jump to the NFL. The buzz I keep hearing is "we don't rebuild, we reload". Well, yes and no. We do stockpile the talent, but it does need to be developed and new leaders need to emerge. And while that's happening, growing pains will occur. It happens to every single college football team out there and we're no exception.

I know Sat. hurt because we 'shudda, cudda, wudda' won the game. But BAMA is still only 1-5 against us in the last 6 and we ain't going no where. Despite all of the adversity, it took everything they had to beat us and we have nothing to be ashamed of. I will say this about our fanbase. We may not be the best at times, but we are without a doubt the most passionate. Sometimes that's a great thing. Other times, it's not.

LSU isn't falling apart, despite this season being a bigger disappointment than we had hoped, and Lee is getting criticized heavily. BUT the guy is on scholly and plays for a big program. It comes with the territory. I've said several times that I believe he's probably a stand up guy. I pull for him EVERY game to throw for tons of yards and a ton of TDs. I don't want to attack the guy as a person.

But he's bad right now and not improving, and like I said, it comes with being a QB for a big time program.

Fair enough. That's so much better than LEE SUCKS. Not that you've started a thread title with that or anything. :hihi:

I'm not trying to start **** but I just think its funny that every week your signature has a picture of some sort of "change" you want made.

Last week it was Mallory and Peveto as "Dumb and Dumber" and this week it's Jefferson with "Please?" underneath it.

Just thought that was comical, don't take offense.

And normally, we do reload. We were hit by a perfect storm this year, regarding personnel issues. Yet, we still have every chance in the world to get back to 10 wins, even in the midst of this storm. We will be fine.

I personally did not expect to lose any more than 2 games, but, meh, it happens.

None taken. It's not every week. It was Peveto and Mallory from the Florida loss to last week before the Bama game. I still have that one, but I switched it to Miles kicking the crap out of Saban.

After that, I switched to this. I don't want Lee to sit completely, but I do what to see JJ. He should've been worked into the line up for Tulane, especially after Hatch went down. Who knows? JJ could shock us, and God knows he couldn't do any worse.

I guess I could put both the Peveto and JJ sig up, but it would be too big. :hihi:

I think they do deserve some credit with the defensive scheme they concocted this week; it was a helluva show.

I want to see JJ too but it just seems like the same thing every year:

    SKREW RANDLE! PUT IN JAMARCUS!
    SKREW FLYNN! PUT IN PERRILLOUX!
    SKREW LEE! PUT IN JEFFERSON!

I am already anticipating it next year, and you post diggers can pull this up in a year...

SKREW JEFFERSON (or Lee/Hatch)! PUT IN SHEPPARD!

The backup QB is the most popular player with the fans from Pop Warner all the way to the NFL.

The defense played much, much better, but those coordinators need to be judged on the season as a whole, not just one game where the team's passion was at a season high.
