With Cal on their way to a loss apparently, coupled with Ole Miss' meltdown Thursday night, LSU is poised for a 5th placed ranking in all polls. And don't count out Iowa over PSU just yet.

Re: LSU the 5th ranked team in the nation? Well, 'Bama and Florida might very well be the ONLY top 10 teams that have played like such all season long. The rest of the top 10 have had question marks all season long thus far. You just have to weather the storm.
Re: LSU the 5th ranked team in the nation? this is one of those seasons where there are no good teams. Everybody is average. Anybody can beat anybody else. Its parody at its finest. Nobody is going undefeated, except maybe boise state. This is probably going to be a season where come december, 5 or 6 teams at the top are going to have good arguments to make the BCS title game, some of them with two losses. LSU is not what would traditionally be a top 5 team, but this season, nobody is.
If LSU is ranked in the Top 5 this week take a picture of it cause they won't be that high for the rest of the season.
