Amid all of this mess that has made this 2016 season a total shit storm because last November the president of LSU had his head up his ass and was more concerned with public approval than winning football games thus keeping Elmer Fudd, I'm very happy for the players to finish the regular season on a positive note. Hopefully next season has a lot less drama and a lot more wins.
Just caught the last few minutes of the game, but did we score a TD on every 2nd half possession except the last one when we were in Victory formation? Sorry if this was answered already, but I haven't read the entire thread. I DVR'd the game and have the house to myself tomorrow, so I'm going to go back and watch it then. I also saw another stat that this was the first time in LSU history that they had a 300+ yard passer and 200+ yard rusher in the same game. That's amazing! They're really getting their money's worth out of their DC. It's nice to be on the giving end of '3rd and Chavis' for a change.
That was an asswhipping. Damn, I figured LSU would just mail it in with everyone out but nope. Congrats to the Tigers and Guice, Orgeron is going down swinging.
Impressed with the points A&M scored as well. Sumlin seems to have a pretty good knack for offense. If Alleva got rid of the chief, he deserves credit there. Glad we're going hard at Herman, let the chips fall where they may. But damn Eaux, had you taken care of business we'd be in great position for the sugar bowl and you'd be in pretty damn good shape to be the next coach at LSU. Even Ensminger, other than spelling his name, has done a hell of a job except UF and Bama, and the Bama performance concerns me a little more than UF. We did nothing hosting Bama. Also, great effort by a number of players; Guice is sick, Etling hit TEs, Chark stood out. Defense was solid until the 2nd half, especially the 4th quarter in which we were out scored 20-22. Beckwith is a game changer and we missed him.
Didn't score on the 2nd to last possession either, but from the 2nd to 4th quarters, scored TDs on 6 straight possessions. Another fun fact: A&M's 39 points is the most LSU has ever given up in a victory. Had given up 38 on 2 previous occasions.
I've got to think we haven't scored TDs on 6 straight possessions versus many conference opponents either. Maybe once or twice against SEC bottom feeders.
Also the 3rd game in a row the first possession by LSU in the 1st quarter resulted in a Touchdown after not being able to do it all season.
I could look this up, but I'm still tripping on tryptophan. What did LSU avg a carry vs the Faggies? My guess is about 12 a down.
