It's like that in the 3rd quarter of many SEC games in Tiger Stadium. It's been debated here before, but Tiger Stadium today is nothing like it was 20 years ago.
I am stunned. Let me ask this? When the wine and cheese crowd, not talking student section, leaves at half time, can you migrate down into their high dollar seats? Geaux Tigers!
Depends on the section nazis. Can usually move down in your section but if you cross, they will lose their shit.
Majority of so called fans that go to the games are pathetic. Too many leave early. Of course most of the game day fans are fairweather fans getting corporate tickets.
These fans expect the players to give their all for 60 minutes, but they leave any non SEC game early to "beat traffic" Just think if the players quit after halftime! "We're not excited for this game, so we're not gonna play"
How was the crowds in Tiger Stadium in the 2011 season? I did not go to a home game that year but I did go to the MS State game in Starkville and the Alabama game in Tuscaloosa and in both of those games the LSU crowd that was there stayed through the end and was as loud as could hope for an away game.
It's this generation. Whether it was LSU or Southern, opposing teams knew when they came to BR they better be ready. Students at Southern are the same way. Once upon a time it was leave after halftime to get ready for the party because the best parties let you in free by a certain time. Now we're lucky if the students even come to the game period. Mumford has always been a big stadium for an HBCU and it used to be packed every home game. Now, not so much.
No excuse but I know many of the Greek houses had parent day this weekend and started with the parties really early. My daughter stayed the whole time though.
